Our founder, Tim, has spent the last 11 years travelling through and around Africa gaining excellent first-hand knowledge of the accommodation, areas, wildlife, and logistics and how each of these elements impact on your experience.
Financial Security
We realise that any adventure with Speke will be a large investment and it is incredibly important that you know your money is protected. Speke Travel is a member of the Travel Trust Association and as such any money that you pay to Speke, including deposits, is held in a trust account until after you return from your adventure. Operating this way ensures that your money is 100% protected at all times. We also hold an ATOL licence with the Civil Aviation Authority which you can find more information about here
Responsible tourism
We know that travel has an incredibly positive effect on us, but it also has a negative effect on our planet, and at Speke we are acutely aware of this. We promise to offset all carbon for flights taken by our staff, and we do that through Climate Care. If you are interested in doing the same, we can either arrange to make a donation on your behalf or you can follow the instructions on the Climate Care website. We also work with charities within the countries that we operate and will make a minimum donation of £10 per travelling passenger to these charities.
