The first semi-permanent lodge in the heart of the vast Central Kalahari Game Reserve, Tau Pan (which takes it’s name from the pan it sits by) offers an unforgettable safari experience to visitors to the region who are looking for an authentic and wildlife-centric safari experience. The lodge itself sits on a scenic sand ridge overlooking the pan and neighbouring waterhole, with numerous game viewing opportunities direct from the camp itself.

Activities from Tau Pan include game drives, day trips to the nearby pans, including Deception Valley, star gazing, birding and tracking with the resident San Bushmen trackers.

What an amazing experience

Having never been on a safari trip, I was apprehensive about the logistics and arrangements. Based on a friend’s advice we booked through Tim at Speke Travel.
