There are few greater experiences than spending a night among the trees, in absolute luxury, with the sights and sounds of the African bush gently sending you off to sleep. Well, perhaps waking up to hot coffee and the sights and sounds of the African bush in the trees… Either way this is an example of one of the finest treetop accommodations anywhere in Tanzania. The main part of the lodge, which is centred around a one-thousand-year-old baobab tree, is a huge mukuti thatch building that is home to a lounge, dining area, incredible sunken fire pit and an expansive decked area that features a swimming pool. There is also a boma dining area (a secure outdoor enclosure) where you can enjoy an oil lamp and campfire dining experience which is magical.

The rooms, all of which are elevated on wooden stilts and have a floor space of 65 square metres, are some of the largest bedrooms anywhere in East Africa. Each room has en-suite facilities including an exotic double shower and flush toilet as well as an expansive but private balcony that affords fantastic views of the surrounding bush. The up-in-the-air experience is completed with furnishings from local craftsmanship that create warmth and a feeling of being one with your environment.
