Thamalakane River Lodge is just outside the town of Maun, about 20 minutes from the airport, in a peaceful riverside setting, a good mid-range option for before or after flights. There is a good range of activities available here although the focus tends to be on enjoying the setting and relaxing. Within the main part of the lodge there is a bar, small lounge and dining room (meals are also served on the outdoor terrace). Further outside is a lovely swimming pool area that is the perfect place to cool off in and enjoy the river views. Finally, there is a small spa on site offering a range of treatments.

The 32 chalets are simple but clean and comfortable with a pleasant private veranda overlooking the river and floodplains. Facilities within the room include upright fans, tea and coffee making facilities and free WiFi. Each room is ensuite with a toilet and shower.
