Etendeka is a small, eco-friendly, and rustic camp located in the foothills of the beautiful Grootberg area. The camp is located within a private 500km² concession area and is a rich and diverse environment which can be explored on foot or by a scenic drive. The basalt lava flows, and flat top mountains are spectacularly beautiful and between and among the seemingly inhospitable landscapes there is much wildlife to find and explore.

The main area here is a simple open-fronted lodge with a comfortable lounge made from wicker furniture, a dining area and small but well stocked bar. Outside you will find a lovely campfire area and small but very inviting swimming pool with shady sun-loungers. Activities are included within the cost of your stay and focus on nature drives and guided walks of which Etendeka is excellent and has some of the best guides in Namibia. For those that like to get out on foot Etendeka also offer a guided walking trail experience over two or three nights, camping out in the concession, which is a magical experience and highly recommended.

The ten tented rooms are simple but very comfortable and come with either a double or twin-beds, solar lighting and en-suite facilities including a toilet and open-air bucket style shower. There is also plenty of outside space with deckchairs and a coffee table and fantastic views of the surroundings.
