Ngorongoro Farmhouse

Speke says – “This is a decent, excellent value for money, option for the Ngorongoro area. While particularly well-suited for families this is a great round option for all.”

As with many of the hotels and lodges of the area, Ngorongoro farmhouse is set among a beautiful coffee plantation, 500 acres in this instance. The main building is situated in the middle of the lodge and consists of a restaurant, offering tasty market style dishes with locally grown produce on the farm, lounge and a large terrace with spectacular views of the extinct Oldeani volcano. You will also find a souvenir shop, massage room and a swimming-pool located in the beautiful gardens.

With 52 chalet type rooms, including interconnecting standard rooms and the larger suites, this is larger than most that we would recommend in the area but this is a good quality lodge offering good home cooked meals with great service and is superb value for money. Each room comes equipped with an en-suite bathroom, tea and coffee making facilities and a private terrace or balcony overlooking the gardens or coffee plantation.
