Siwandu Camp

- Luxurious camp with a remote location
Located in a remote area of Nyerere, on the shore of the beautiful Lake Nzerakera, this is a superb camp that offers a high standard of accommodation, facilities, and service. Activities available here include walking, boat, and wildlife safaris with the excellent and friendly resident guides. The communal areas at Siwandu are split into two camps, north and south, so when full, or close to full, it doesn’t feel busy, and both are the same in construction and layout. The large, wood and thatch, central buildings are raised on stilts which afford fantastic views of the bush and surroundings. Inside these beautiful structures you will find a comfortable lounge, bar, and dining area where you can tuck into hearty breakfasts, light lunches, and three-course evening meals. Al-fresco dining on a further decked area is also possible and a fantastic experience. Finishing off the main part of the camp is the lovely swimming pool area with small pool and loungers, the perfect place to cool off when not out on your adventures.
There are 10 very large rooms in total, between the north and south camp, which are all well-spaced along the lakeshore. These are all raised on wooden platforms and canvas under thatch with an octagonal design to allow for fantastic views of the lake and surrounding bush. Each have either a king size or twin beds, under a ceiling fan, as well as bedside tables with electric lights and a comfortable sofa. The large en-suite facilities include flushing toilet, twin washbasins, wardrobe, digital safe, and a private outdoor shower which is amazing. The rooms are finished with a large decked veranda with two seater sofa, chairs, coffee table and beanbag, perfect for enjoying the stunning views of the lake that each room offers.
