A relatively new offering for Ruaha Ikuka is an absolutely superb option and one of our favourites in Ruaha. With a stunning position, high on the Mwagusi escarpment, the views are breathe-taking but importantly the camp is located in a fantastic area for wildlife viewing, not far from the Great Ruaha River. The central areas of camp comprise of a main wood and thatch building which is home to a bar, lounge and dining area as well as an upper floor with small library and relaxation area which takes the views to the next level. Just beneath the main building is an infinity pool that looks out into the park which is very special indeed and the perfect place to relax and cool off when not on a safari activity. Activities here include wildlife drives and walking safaris with fantastic guides.

The seven rooms, including one two-bedroom family room, are wood and thatch in construction with canvas that can rolled down at night if you wish, although going to bed and seeing the night sky with the room open is an amazing experience. These are beautifully decorated in neutral tones and come equipped with a super king-sized bed, 24-hour electricity, fans, and a lounge area complete with comfortable leather seating. The large en-suite facilities include a flushing toilet and hot shower. The room is finished with a large, decked veranda with safari chairs and small coffee table with incredible views.
