A relatively new addition to Ruaha, Jabali ridge is an elegant and sophisticated accommodation in a spectacular location and arguably the finest option in this incredible national park. Perched on a rocky outcrop this permanent lodge has spectacular views over the park from all common areas and bedrooms and seamlessly blends into the rocks as if it was always meant to be there. The main areas are predominately open with shade provided by the covered pergolas and large trees that surround the lodge. Facilities here include a lovely open bar, comfortable lounge, boutique shop, and separate dining area as well as a library and spa offering a variety of treatments, the perfect way to relax after your safari adventure. Finally, the rim flow infinity swimming pool and bar offer further spectacular views and is another area offering the opportunity for relaxation while not on safari. Activities available include traditional wildlife drives and short walking safaris.

Reached by winding paths and steps between the rocks, the eight guest rooms have been designed to showcase the views of Ruaha from every corner, but especially the bed with wrap around folding doors that have louvered shutters. The room is decorated in soft colours to allow the stunning landscapes to take centre stage and comes equipped with either a king size or twin beds, in room WiFi, and an expansive decked area that extends around the front of the room with a lower section that has comfortable seating. The large en-suite facilities include a flushing toilet, twin basins and a shower. For those travelling with children, a small group, or if you just prefer a complete privacy, the private Jabali house is worth considering. This is a luxury three-bedroom house with a small swimming pool, private indoor and outdoor lounge and a private vehicle and guide for safari activities.
