Kuro Tarangire

Speke says – “Although not as visually impressive as some of the other 5-star options in Tarangire, Kuro should not be dismissed if you are looking for something very special. The rooms are amazing, the food superb and the staff are incredible. Everything here is brilliant, and we couldn’t recommend it more.”

Kuro is another camp that has been within Tarangire for a long time. Located deep within the national park, this is perfectly positioned for exploring far in the park among the swamps and open savannahs. The camp is found tucked into a grove of secluded riverside bush and really does blend in with its surroundings, so much so that the wildlife hardly takes any notice of it as they do their thing. The main thatched lodge is where you will find a comfortable open-sided lounge and dining area as well as a firepit just in front. This is a small main area but plenty big enough considering there are only six safari rooms plus one self-contained two-bedroom family room.

The light and airy safari rooms are thatch over canvas in design and come beautifully furnished, very stylish, and welcoming. Inside your huge room there is a writing desk, lounge sofa and large en-suite bathroom as well a delightful, decked terrace to enjoy the wildlife of the area from. The rooms here offer a high level of comfort, the staff are excellent and food fantastic, you will not be disappointed with a stay here.
