Located on the east coast, along a beautiful stretch of beach, Kiwengwa is a large resort style hotel. With 182 room this is one of the largest in Zanzibar with a great range of facilities on offer and a lively atmosphere. Facilities available include a guest relations desk, games room with table tennis and a pool tables, shops and a supermarket, bicycle rental, beach volleyball, tennis court, and amphitheatre. There are four bar and lounge areas overlooking the sea and three individual restaurants serving a variety of local and international style cuisine. Within the lovely gardens are two swimming pools with plenty of sun loungers and there are also loungers on the beach as well. There is also a well-equipped kids club with an air-conditioned indoor play area and outdoor play area. The standard garden view rooms are the most plentiful here with 104 all-together. These are relatively simple as far as décor goes but perfectly pleasant at the same time. They come equipped with air-conditioning, mini safe, wardrobe, flat screen TV and en-suite facilities including a shower. The room is finished with either a balcony or terrace with deck chairs and a coffee table.
