Jua is set on the beautiful and remote Michamvi area in the southeast part of Zanzibar and, with only four rooms, is one of the smallest accommodation options in Zanzibar. As this area is remote you will be able to enjoy untouched, stunning beaches with virtually no-one else around. Set under a large makuti thatch roof, open on all sides, the main building is home to the bar, comfortable lounge and dining area, all of which are close to the beach with magnificent sea views. Food here is very good with local fresh ingredients and if you like sea food then you will be very happy here but there are plenty of alternatives. Just above is the stunning swimming pool and sun lounger area which, again, looks out to the ocean. There is also a message room offering a variety of treatments.

The four large rooms, arguably the real show piece of the hotel, are set on a slight hill from the beach, above the bar, lounge and swimming pool, and are all sea facing. Made from local wood with a thatch roof and white stone walls the rooms are light and, as they are completely open day and night, allow for a nice breeze and 180-degree views of the ocean and sky from the raised extra king-size bed. Further facilities within the room include free WiFi, in room safe, comfortable chair and coffee table and en-suite facilities include a walk-in shower. The room is finished with a large veranda with sun loungers and a private plunge pool, the perfect place to cool off after enjoying the sun.
