As you would expect from the Four Seasons brand, this is an opulent lodge with a large range of luxury facilities and features and fantastic food. The location is within the Seronera region, which is excellent for year-round wildlife viewing, with the bonus of a water hole right in front of the lodge that is frequently visited by a variety of large and small wildlife. The large main lodge is surrounded by raised wooden walkways and decking with plenty of areas to relax and enjoy the views and incredible wildlife. There are a number of dining options including an inside restaurant, traditional boma grill, al fresco terrace and also in-room dining, so you are spoilt for choice depending on your mood. Further facilities include two boutiques, a fitness centre, a museum/discovery centre, an amazing spa, and a superb infinity pool overlooking the water hole with sun loungers placed on extensive decking.

There are 72 rooms and five villas here, with a maximum occupancy of 180 guests. Although the maximum is almost never reached this is a large hotel and does feel like it, but the facilities are extensive and excellent and the high level of accommodation, food and service is only achieved by a handful of alternatives in the Serengeti. There are a number of different room types and villas available with the savannah room being the entry level option. This ground-floor, 55 square metre, room comes with either one king-sized or twin beds, air-conditioning, a flat screen satellite tv, refrigerated bar, en-suite bathroom with shower and deep soaking bath, and a terrace with fantastic views.
