Kaskaz Mara Camp
- 4.5 Star
- Best between June to March
- High standards throughout in great wildlife area
If you like the idea of a camping experience but not all that keen on making any compromises then Kaskaz could well be for you, this is a high-quality option that feels much more like a top hotel rather than a safari camp. The main areas at Kaskaz are housed under one large central tent that includes a comfortable lounge area with sofas and armchairs and even a fireplace for the cooler nights. There is also a separate undercover dining area although meals are often served outside with lanterns on tables and hanging from trees which is a magical experience. In front of the central tent there is a campfire, sit with a glass of your favorite drink in hand, relax and enjoy the scenery for a pre-dinner drink, perfect!
There is no doubt that the main areas of camp are excellent but where Kaskaz really shines are the eight beautifully appointed and decorated rooms. These are huge, at least twice the size of a standard room in the Serengeti. Within the room you will find a huge double bed, writing desk and chair, comfortable armchairs, and coffee table as well as a large en-suite bathroom with flushing toilet, double wash basins and luxury shower. Outside the room is a veranda with a coffee table and safari-style chairs.
