Etosha National Park is one of the best places to see the big five in Africa (lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant & rhino) and is Namibia’s most famous park. Located in the north of Namibia, and over 22,000 square kilometres, this is the place to go for big game, but the variety of wildlife will satisfy and surprise all. Within the park there are a network of well-maintained roads, which skirt around the huge salt pan in the centre of the park, these roads are particularly rewarding to explore when self-driving.

Armed with an easy to navigate map you can make your way into the park to explore and visit the vast number of waterholes, a lifeline for the wildlife especially in the dry season. During the driest time of year, between June and October, such a huge variety and density of wildlife congregate around the waterholes that you won’t believe Etosha can be host to so many wild animals. It really must be seen to be believed and there is nowhere else like it.
