Savute Safari Lodge is positioned along the Savute Channel, and provides exceptional views of the wildlife-rich plains, where herds of elephants, lions, and an array of other species roam freely. Guests are accommodated in 11 spacious, thatched-roof chalets, each elegantly appointed with natural wood finishes and large glass sliding doors that bring the outdoors inside. Private decks extend from each chalet, creating an ideal space for guests to relax and take in the dramatic scenery and passing wildlife right from their rooms – including the resident elephant herds in the area.

The lodge’s two-storey main area includes a comfortable lounge, bar, and dining area, all designed to enhance the safari experience with open views of the channel and surrounding landscapes. The decor is inspired by earthy tones and natural textures, blending seamlessly with the environment to create a tranquil retreat. A large swimming pool, set in the shade of acacia trees, offers a refreshing spot for guests to relax between safari activities (including visits to the nearby rock art for those interested) and provides a stunning view of the wilderness beyond. Meals at Savute Safari Lodge are served in a variety of scenic locations, including the lodge’s open-air dining area, where guests can savor locally-inspired dishes as they listen to the sounds of the savanna.
