Tim says – No matter how many times I’ve visited, Victoria Falls still takes my breath away. The spray hangs in the air like mist, and the roar is constant — it’s a completely different kind of wild beauty from Botswana, but just as moving.
Home to one of the natural wonders of the world, the small town of Victoria Falls is an extremely popular add-on to time in Botswana – so much so that we have included it in a few of our sample itineraries. There is plenty to see and do in the area – in fact, there is an incredible number of different sights and activities to experience. From helicopter flights over the Victoria Falls themselves to give a unique aerial perspective of their size and scale to sunset river cruises, elephant encounters to white water rafting, there really is something for everyone. In addition, if you are simply wanting some down time after your busy safari days, or just the chance to explore without getting up pre-sunrise (de-rigeur for your safari time!), then Victoria Falls is an ideal place to consider.

Having never been on a safari trip, I was apprehensive about the logistics and arrangements. Based on a friend’s advice we booked through Tim at Speke Travel.
