Arusha Coffee Lodge
- 5 Star
- Great year round
- Beautiful gardens and surrounds, high standards
Without doubt one of the finest options available in Arusha and a firm favourite of ours. The location is excellent, on the outskirts of town, set back from the main road that you will likely take towards the parks of the north. The lodge is set within acres of evergreen coffee fields and lush vegetation with the main plantation house offering an a la carte restaurant, a more casual café bistro, and a small but lovely swimming pool. One of the things that you are bound to notice is the impeccably well-kept gardens and outdoor spaces which are an absolute pleasure to spend time in and around.
There are a total of 30 rooms with two categories here, plantation rooms and plantation suites. Plantation rooms are beautifully traditional for the area and boast a log fire, en-suite bathroom with shower and bath, and a verandah overlooking the surrounding green coffee garden. Plantation suites are spacious, homely, and modern although still in keeping with the area. The suites come with a satellite tv, a large en-suite bathroom with bath and rain shower, and a private terrace with log fire. Both room types are luxurious, so there is no bad choice here, if you enjoy some extra space and a luxurious bathroom then it would be worth considering splashing out for the suite.
