Kubu Kubu Camp

Speke says – “This is such a good mid-to-upper range accommodation for the Serengeti. Excellent location, good food, excellent service, and some of the best views of the area. The only thing to be aware of is this is on the larger side of number of rooms so if you are looking for a small and intimate lodge this may not be for you. Otherwise, this is excellent and we highly recommend it.”

This lodge is located within the central area of the Serengeti which is excellent for year- round wildlife viewing. The main lodge and rooms are on top of a small hill and the views surrounding the lodge are nothing short of breath taking with every common area and room carefully positioned for guests to take in the sweeping plains beneath. The large main building, a traditional wood and thatch construction, is very welcoming with lovely lounge areas and an indoor dining area. There is also a large terrace that is used for some evening meals and a decked area that surrounds the lodge with further lounge areas and outside dining. Additional facilities include WiFi in the main lodge, a small souvenir shop, evening campfire area, massage cabin and a beautiful swimming pool area with plenty of sun lungers to relax when you are not on safari.

The 25 elegant, tented suites here, including interconnecting and a family room with quad configuration, are all built on raised wooden platforms with en-suite facilities including an outdoor shower which is incredible. Within the large suite you will find a lounge area and king-size bed as well a writing desk, internal phone and tea and coffee tray. There is also a small, decked veranda to further enjoy the incredible views.
