Namiri Plains Camp
- 5 Star
- Best between June to March
- Luxurious, remote and excellent wildlife
Located in the eastern central area of the Serengeti, with the nearest camp over an hour away, this very special area was closed for 20 years, until 2019, to allow the cheetah population to recover. Now you can practically safari with the plains to yourself here. As for the camp things only get better, this is a very high-quality, top safari lodge that is setting new heights for its competitors. The main lodge, which is beautifully furnished, comprises a comfortable lounge, bar, and dining area that opens up completely to maximize views of the surrounding bush. Just in front of the main lodge there is a campfire area and there is also a beautiful swimming pool area with loungers, the perfect place to lazily watch the wildlife. Not forgetting the spa that offers a variety of treatments.
The 10 huge, tented suites, including one family suite, are absolutely stunning and very stylish. Each suite has sliding doors that open to an expanded viewing deck. The interiors are decorated in natural materials and tones and each bathroom has a flushing toilet and shower with a view over the plains and a standalone bathtub on your private deck for an al fresco bubble bath.
