Sayari Camp
- 5 Star
- Best between June to March
- Stunning camp in a super wildlife area
Regularly voted as one of the top safari escapes, Sayari offers high-quality accommodation in a superb location in the northern area of the Serengeti, not far from the mighty Mara River itself. While particularly excellent during the river crossing season this is a superb year-round camp with amazing resident wildlife. The north of the Serengeti is much less visited than the easy-to-get-to-south and central regions so there are, inevitably, fewer visitors. The central are of the camp includes a lounge with comfortable sofas, a dining area and also a bar with a solar-powered micro-brewery, the first of its kind in the Serengeti. Further facilities include a plush library and information centre as well as a spa, which offers of an array of treatment options, a campfire area, and finally a rim flow swimming pool which is set between natural rock formations.
The 15 bright and spacious suites, including one family suite, here are incredible. Tasteful and stylish, each suite has wooden decking throughout with sliding doors to afford views of the surrounding bush. The large bathroom includes a flushing toilet, double sink and walk in shower as well as a private al-fresco bath for relaxing with views of the Serengeti. The suite is finished with a large, decked veranda with a sofa and table and chairs to further enjoy the views and surroundings.
