Lake Masek Tented Lodge
- 4 Star
- Best between Dec & Mar
- Great for big cats & migration
Between the months of December and March it is difficult to imagine a more enviable location than on the edge of Lake Masek, one of the only water sources in the area which is frequented by wildlife. Many of the accommodation options in the area are tented camps, that move several times of year, whereas this lodge is a permanent structure so would suit those that are not keen on spending time in a mobile tented camp. The large main thatched buildings house a comfortable lounge with WiFi, bar, and dining area although evening meals are often served outside on the large, decked area. There is also a campfire area and a lovely swimming pool that overlooks the lake, the perfect place to relax when not on safari and a rare commodity in the Serengeti.
There are 30 large and elegant rooms, including interconnecting rooms for families, all on raised wooden platforms with en-suite facilities including a flush toilet, bath, and outdoor shower as well as a private terrace to enjoy the landscape and surroundings from. Further room facilities include an internal phone, fan, and tea and coffee making facilities.
