Ndutu Safari Lodge

Speke says – “This is a superb option for the South of the Serengeti, not a high-end lodge by any means but the amazing staff, good home-cooked style meals and location are difficult to beat. This would particularly suit those that prefer solid walls rather than canvas. We love it and highly recommend.”

Ndutu Safari lodge is located on the edge of the Southern Serengeti plains which is filled with acacia trees and wide views across Lake Ndutu. Between the months of December and March this is one of the best wildlife viewing areas in the Serengeti, particularly for the predators of the area. The main, thatch and stone built, centre of the lodge is where you will find the bar, large lounge and dining area with the firepit just in front of the main building, the perfect place to have pre and post dinner drinks and share stories of safari adventures.

The thirty-four stone cottages here, including some triple and quad rooms, are simple but very comfortable and each come with en-suite bathrooms with flushing toilet and hot showers as well as a veranda overlooking the natural unfenced landscape of trees and shrubs. The rooms are kept nice and cool during the heat of the day due to the thick walls and thatch.
